2021년 10월호 표지모델은 <국가대표 여정의 마침표 영원한 한국 여자단식 큰언니, 성지현> 입니다.

근 10여년간 한국 여자단식의 대들보 같은 존재였던 성지현 선수가 국가대표 은퇴를 선언했습니다. 여전히 세계랭킹 상위권을 차지하고 있는 성지현이지만, 후배들에게 길을 열어주기 위해 은퇴를 결심했습니다. 2017년 세계혼합단체선수권 우승을 비롯해 화려한 커리어를 지닌 그녀를 만나 그간의 여정과 앞으로의 계획에 대해 들어봤습니다.

올림픽 이후 패럴림픽도 바로 열렸습니다. 이번 패럴림픽에서 처음으로 배드민턴이 정식 종목이 되었습니다. 첫 패럴림픽 배드민턴에 출전해 한국 선수들도 메달을 4개나 따는 쾌거를 누렸습니다. 장애인 배드민턴에 대한 이모저모를 실었습니다.

추석은 다들 잘 보내셨나요? 배드민턴코리아는 추석 직전 경북 구미에서 열린 제102회 전국체육대회를 다녀왔습니다. 각 지자체를 대표해 유수의 선수들이 눈부신 경쟁을 펼쳤습니다. 전국체육대회에서 돋보였던 포인트들을 짚어봤습니다.

현재 핀란드에서는 세계혼합단체선수권, 즉 수디르만컵이 진행 중입니다. 수디르만컵의 역사와 이번 대회 체크포인트를 살펴봤습니다. 아울러 한국 대표팀의 선전을 기원합니다.

외에도 2022아시안게임을 내다보는 김충회 대표팀 감독의 이야기, 허광희와 김가은의 올림픽 돌아보기 등 다양한 이야기를 담았으니 이번 10월호도 재밌게 봐주시길 바랍니다.

The cover model for the October 2021 issue is Sung Ji-hyun, the eldest sister of the Korean women's singles forever.

Sung Ji-hyun, who has been a pillar of Korean women's singles for nearly a decade, has announced her retirement from the national team. Sung Ji-hyun is still at the top of the world rankings, but she decided to retire to open the way for juniors. We met her with a brilliant career, including winning the 2017 World Mixed Team Championships, and heard about her journey and future plans.

After the Olympics, the Paralympics were also held right away. Badminton has become an official sport for the first time at the Paralympics. Korean athletes also enjoyed the feat of winning four medals in badminton at the Paralympics for the first time. We carried various things about para-badminton.

Did you all have a good Chuseok? Badminton Korea went to the 102nd National Sports Festival held in Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do just before Chuseok. On behalf of each local government, leading players competed brilliantly. We pointed out the points that stood out at the National Sports Festival.

Currently, the World Mixed Team Championships, aka the Sudirman Cup, is underway in Finland. We looked at the history of the Sudirman Cup and the checkpoints of this tournament. In addition, we wish the Korean national team good performance.
